With the Great Florida Birding Trail located just inside this park, you will see numerous birds in the inter-coastal waterway, along the sandy shore and in the forest. There is both a meandering boardwalk through the marsh out to an observation area and a paved footpath though the forest and around the pond. When we visited there was not a single car in the parking lot. Bring a lunch and enjoy the solitude at the picnic shelter.
